Music Advancement Scholarships

Music Exploration Award

A $1,000 award that will help fund a musical experience of the applicant’s choosing.

These can include summer camps, festivals, musical performances, etc. (The application form includes a list of possible options.)

Distribution of the award is contingent upon proof of acceptance.

The student must submit a one-page reflective essay on their experience and its value to their development.

Disbursal of funds will occur after the completion of both the chosen activity and after the reflective essay is received.

Eligibility

The Music Education Scholarship is available for students who are:

Iowa Resident

Currently in 9th - 12th grade (during the 2024-2025 academic school year)

Studying woodwind or brass instrument

Previous winners of other Musical Advancement Scholarship are not eligible to apply

Deadline

All application submissions are due March 15th, 2025, 11:59PM CST

Notification of Award: April 15th, 2025

Disbursement of funds will occur AFTER completion of the festival, and a one-page reflective essay will be submitted - no later than August 30th, 2025.
